Perforated Dinner Candles
SALE WAS $17.00 NOW $13.00
In the 1900 the first "perforated" candle was invented. They were sold mainly in the west of France. The inhabitants of this region were dependent on candles for lighting, so they needed convenient and cheap candles. In the rest of France people used more solid candles for dining.
This candle has two features:
The candle is perforated with small holes so that burnt liquid wax can be collected & when it becomes solid can be reused. This system guarantees that the candle wax does not run.
Since candle holders are not always designed with a particular candle in mind, the fluted base was invented so that the candles can be used in any holder. This kind of base ensures that the candle is stable. Bougie is the last remaining manufacturer with this expertise and still owns the last 2 machines which can make this candle.
A McMaster & Storm favorite. {Burn time +/- 7 hours} {Classic white, box of 8}
